First Aid Course - Annual Refresher - 3 hours

This 3 hour first aid course covers what to do in an emergency situation.  It is for anyone who wants to receive training in emergency first aid within a smaller, low risk working environment.  Refreshing the skills that they already have.

The course is delivered to a maximum of 12 people.

This 3 hour course covers what to do in an emergency situation with children and adults. It is for anyone who wants to receive training in emergency first aid within a smaller, low risk working environment. The course is delivered to a maximum of 12 people and everyone will receive a course book. By the end of the course, successful candidates will be able to: 

• Assess an incident

• Manage a casualty who is unresponsive and NOT breathing normally

• Provide first aid to an unresponsive and breathing normally casualty

• Manage a casualty who is in seizure

• Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking

• Manage a casualty with external bleeding

• Manage a casualty who is in shock

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam.  Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with an Annual Refresher course certificate.
